The Central Synagogue is located in the center of Savyon and is surrounded by a beautiful biblically-themed garden. The synagogue serves as the center of Jewish life in the community and has two main sanctuaries, an Ashkenazi and a Sephardi. Regular prayer services take place daily. The complex also hosts a Beit Midrash where daily classes are given in a wide area of topics catering to all levels. The Central synagogue also has an event hall for use by the community.
On Shabbat and holidays two additional Minyanim gather in the outskirts of the town.
In Savyon, there are two community leaders who take an active roll in coordinating between the synagogue activities and between the members of the community.
Rabbi David Brodman has been the Chief Rabbi of Savyon and guided the community and was responsible for the twon's religious services for many years. Unfortunately, Rabbi Brodman passed away recently and passed on the roles of leadership and scholarship to Rav Nehemia Rotenberg, who is the current leader.
The religious community is diverse yet unique in the way that each member maintains his\her own tradition but feels welcome and wanted. And indeed, everyone is both welcome and wanted. Still, the religious community wishes to expand and attract religious and traditional families in order to enlarge the community and extend the available religious services.
In Savyon, there is only a secular public school system. Thus, religious and traditional residents of Savyon send their children to study in religious schools in the surrounding areas. Savyon has reciprocation agreements with the neighboring towns to provide religious educational services to its residents.
